Dr. Harper is an Assistant Professor at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Her research interests include exercise physiology, physical function, fall risk/prevention, and ergonomics of stairways for an aging population.

Her research has been published in Ergonomics, Frontiers in Aging, Journal of Ergonomics, Gait & Posture, Comprehensive Physiology, Journal of Safety Research, Frontiers in Physiology, Brain Sciences, and Experimental Gerontology. She currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief for Research Directs in Health Sciences.

Who has influenced you the most when it comes to how you approach your work?

My late Grandmother's passion for life and mantra ‘always keep moving’.
